Sognefjord

The Sognefjord is the longest deepest fjord in Norway extending over 200km inland, the area has two ski resorts only 30 minutes apart Sogndal ski centre and Sogn ski centre. Both resorts have fantastic groomed alpine slopes and cross country tracks with plenty of space for children’s skiing and sledging areas. They also make good starting points for summit trips, both these resorts have some amazing off piste skiing and ski touring opportunities organised by local activity companies and guides. Sogn ski centre has a summit standing at 995m with a vertical drop of 670m with 4 lifts and 9 groomed downhill slopes. Sogndal stands at a summit of 950m with a vertical drop of 360m with 4 lifts and 9 groomed downhill slopes. The ski season in these resorts runs from late November till May and they receive fantastic amounts of snow throughout the ski season. The resort of Sogndal has it’s own powder express bus that collects skiers and boarders along the road side and takes them back to the lifts in resort.
